About Safari

Safari

In January 2003, Steve Jobs announced that Apple were developing their own browser, called Safari. At that time (and earlier), Apple computers used Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer as their default browsers.

The first official "out-of-beta" version was released in June 2003. As of Mac OS X v10.4 (April 2005), Safari have been the default browser for Mac systems.

As many of Apple's products, Safari is renowned for its sleek design and ease of use.

Safari is available for Mac and Windows systems.
